Do you provide estimates?
Yes. We start with a conversation about the project and typically schedule an on-site walkthrough before preparing a proposal. The walkthrough matters because existing conditions drive cost more than anything else in an older Los Angeles home, and a number given without seeing the space is a guess. After the visit you get a written proposal that lays out the agreed scope of work in plain language.
How far in advance should I contact you?
As early as practical. Scheduling depends on the size of the project and current workload. Reaching out before your selections are finalized is not a problem, because the walkthrough and proposal stage usually takes some back and forth anyway. Larger renovations need more lead time than a single room, so an early conversation gives you a realistic sense of when work could start.
Do you take small jobs?
We evaluate projects individually. Our primary focus is defined remodeling and improvement projects rather than routine handyman or service-call work. A small project with a clear scope, like a powder room or a run of built-in cabinetry, is often a good fit. A list of unrelated household repairs usually is not, and we would rather point you elsewhere than take work we are not set up to do well.
Do you offer emergency or same-day service?
No. We take on planned remodeling and improvement projects, not emergency or same-day service calls. If you have an active leak, a failed water heater or another urgent repair, call a service plumber or the appropriate trade first. Once the emergency is handled and you are looking at rebuilding the room properly, that is the point where we are the right call.
